The 34th Education and Careers Expo

As always, the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board (HKMPB) set up a booth at the Education and Careers Expo 2025 held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for four consecutive days (16 - 19 January 2025) to share information on further education, training, and career opportunities in the maritime industry with young people and job seekers.
This year, HKMPB themed its booth around "Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers" (LNG carriers), incorporating the structure of an LNG ship throughout the booth and decorating it with "International Maritime Signal Flags". In addition to showcasing informative display panels, screening maritime-themed career videos, and distributing exquisite information kits, the booth also featured various interactive games to enhance the public’s understanding of the maritime industry. Participants who won the games or subscribed to HKMPB's social media platforms would receive limited-edition souvenirs featuring HKMPB’s new mascot. These had successfully attracted a large number of students and job seekers to visit the booth, to inquire about industry information and take part in the games.
We extend our gratitude to various organisations, including the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Maritime Services Training Institute, the Hong Kong Sea School and industry practitioners for sharing their study or work experiences with visitors. By joining hands, HKMPB hopes to cultivate interest in and enhance awareness of the maritime industry among local students and the general public, thereby encouraging them to become part of the maritime industry.
